Front of House Team Member

Market Juice is looking for a reliable, energetic Front of House / Counter team member to join our crew. In this role you'll help customers, prepare smoothies, make coffee drinks, bottle juice, and create a welcoming environment for every guest who walks through the door.

Responsibilities

  • Greet customers warmly and provide friendly, attentive service

  • Prepare smoothies, açaí bowls, and avocado toast

  • Make coffee beverages

  • Bottle juice

  • Restock ingredients and supplies as needed

  • Maintain the cleanliness and sanitation of equipment and work areas

  • Follow all food safety and health regulations

Qualifications

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment

  • Strong attention to cleanliness and organization

  • Able to stand for long periods and lift up to 30 lbs

  • Reliable and punctual, with a positive attitude

Shift Availability

(hours may change with the season)

  • Thursday: 11:00 am – 7:00 pm

  • Friday: 2:00 pm – 7:00 pm

  • Saturday: 8:30 am – 4:30 pm

Juicer/Kitchen Operations

Market Juice is looking for a reliable, detail-oriented Juicer to join our kitchen crew. In this role you'll handle juice production from prep to bottle, keeping our cold-pressed juice consistent, fresh, and flowing all day.

Responsibilities

  • Wash, prep, and juice fresh produce to recipe specs

  • Monitor inventory of produce and bottling supplies, restocking as needed

  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of juicing equipment and prep areas

  • Restock ingredients and supplies as needed

  • Follow all food safety and health regulations

Qualifications

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced kitchen environment

  • Strong attention to cleanliness, organization, and consistency

  • Able to stand for long periods and lift up to 30 lbs

  • Reliable and punctual, with a positive attitude

  • Prior kitchen, juice bar, or food prep experience a plus

Manager

Market Juice is looking to bring on a Manager to run the day-to-day operations of a health and wellness focused cafe, stepping into the role the owner has held herself. This person will effectively run the business in the owner's place: full authority over staff, cash, inventory, and daily decisions, with the accountability that comes with it. We are looking for someone with previous experience in a cafe/coffee shop setting and a passion for healthier living.

Our mission at Market Juice is to provide health focused food and beverage items to our community. We strive to serve all customer bases (vegan, vegetarian, gluten free, and meat lovers alike) and serve customers products that have as many whole, clean ingredients as possible. We have worked hard to create a fun, welcoming environment for our staff and customers.

Responsibilities

●      Create employee schedules

●      Hire, train, discipline, and terminate staff as needed

●      Be the point person for all employee problems

●      Act in the best interest of the owner, exercising full day-to-day decision-making authority in the owner's absence

●      Handle daily cash handling, register reconciliation, and bank deposits

●      Do everyday bookkeeping tasks

●      Price out new products and keep a vigilant eye on the cost of goods of all items

●      Manage payroll

●      Manage inventory and ordering

●      Manage the POS system (Square), including reporting, comps, and voids

●      Uphold the standards and ethics of Market Juice

●      Manage and maintain regulatory compliance with health department standards

●      Uphold current procedures and come up with new and efficient processes

●      Oversee kitchen production and specials development

●      Work with the head of kitchen operations to develop health forward recipes and specials

●      Resolve customer complaints and handle service recovery

What We're Looking For

●      1-2 years of experience in the food industry

●      Previous experience in food service management is preferred

●      Strong communication skills

●      Strong attention to cleanliness, organization, and consistency

●      Reliable and detail-oriented

●      ServSafe Manager Certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)

●      Interest in healthy living and nutrition

Shift Availability

Full-time position, with a flexible schedule.
